Network Engineer

Skydance is seeking a high-level senior Network Engineer with experience architecting and implementing a multi-location network strategy that includes multiple security layers for both internal and external access.  This person will ensure the core Infrastructure networks are stable and secure with optimal performance Including monitoring activity, installation and maintenance of firewalls, interoperability in data centers, private fiber networks, and other network partners. 

Responsibilities

  • Engineering, designing, configuring, installing, integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting of Infrastructure networks and systems
  • This includes but not limited to routers, switches, wireless controllers/access points, IP/Video endpoints, collaboration servers, voice gateways, analogue gateways, network load balancers and security appliances
  • Develop tools and processes to reduce operational costs and increase operational efficiencies
  • Work with other team members to build and maintain a secure, high performance, high availability network services
  • Provision, manage, and optimize networks in data centers and cloud environments
  • Collaborate with developers in an open creative environment
  • Participate in a 24×7 on-call support rotation
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-related field
  • CCIE or multiple CCNP certificates and security certificates
  • 6+ years of experience in IT/Network and data center infrastructure
  • 3+ years of experience in the entertainment, gaming or digital industries with expertise in video assets
  • Expert in designing and implementing complex routing and switching in large-scale, multi-vendor networks
  • Expert in designing and configuring multi-account, multi-region networking stack in Public Cloud platforms
  • Strong scripting skills with intense knowledge of internet protocols, services and standards
