Skydance Animation is hiring a Production Coordinator to join the team of our first feature film. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and will support the team in bringing the movie to the finish line! The role requires the ability to prioritize and organize the workflow for day-to-day needs. The ideal candidate has previous PC experience within the animation pipeline, is proactive with strong follow-through, and has a passion for growing within production management!
This role will run 6 months with a potential for continuation within the studio after show wrap. #Animation
Supports the production team to achieve overall goals and shift priorities as departmental needs change, particularly within Editorial, Story, and Script
Work closely with the Production Supervisor, Editorial, and Story team to manage assets and achieve daily goals
Maintain deliverables, track deadlines and inventory, ensure departmental productivity goals are met
Track statuses by maintaining continuous awareness of production timeline
Ensure procedures are followed to facilitate that inventory workflow is as seamless as possible from one department to the next
Performs artist rounds and check-ins to determine the status of the work in the department
Attend meetings and schedule reviews, detailed note-taking and timely distribution
Coordinate schedules, prepare agendas, prep space/conferencing details, presentations, screenings
Stay abreast of issues on the floor, anticipates potential issues and elevates information appropriately to Production Supervisor
Facilitate consistent line of communication with other departments regarding needs and deadlines
Monitoring and timely collection of timecards
Research and administrative tasks, projects, gathering materials as necessary
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Previous experience as a Production Coordinator on an animated feature film, understanding of role of departments within feature pipeline
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and follow-through
Ability to anticipate issues and proactively identify to solve and address
Possesses a high level of discretion and confidentiality
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to professionally interface with all levels of management, vendors, outside contacts
Experience with Shotgun or similar proprietary production management tool
Strong proficiency with MS software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Photoshop and Final Draft experience, a plus
