The Manager of Business Development- Consumer Goods will be leading licensing programs across our portfolio of titles to bring the best entertainment licensed consumer products and experiences to our fans. In this key role, you will work cross functionally among all divisions of Skydance to support and advise on deal management and negotiation through the managing the flow of licensing, the release schedule and marketing information to all internal teams. 
  
The ideal candidate will have experience with strategic negotiations and analysis, along with a highly attuned game quality sense. We aim to be an excellent partner to work with and to develop long and prosperous relationships in our industry, elevating the medium of games via consistent delivery of top-of-market games and intellectual properties. #Animation

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with licensees including onboarding, contract negotiation, identifying opportunities, problem solving, and marketing
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure each department has the right to execute its objectives and prioritize accordingly
  • Manage license tracking and communicate relevant updates to internal including Operations, Finance and Legal teams.
  • Interpret existing agreements covering CPG-related releases, to identify and address business issues and render advice to departments across the company
  • Proactively engage internal Marketing, Communications and Social Media teams to drive awareness of product lines
  • Create and summarize performance reports while ensuring internal compliance with licensing deals to ensure timelines are met 
  • Requirements

  • 4-6 years media industry experience, specifically within consumer goods 
  • At least 2 years analyzing and negotiating legal agreements, with proven record of accomplishment of closing deals 
  • Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with experience learning quickly about new technologies and industry trends 
  • Strong business judgment and intellectual maturity; ability to craft solutions that appropriately balance risk and business objectives 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience developing strong internal and external working relationships 
  • Proven track record of doing deals, including with the legal aspects of negotiations 
  • Ability to identify key concerns quickly and drive deal stakeholders to a consensus
