‘Neuromancer’: Briana Middleton Joins Callum Turner In Apple TV+ Series

Briana Middleton (Sharper) has been tapped as the co-lead opposite Callum Turner in NeuromancerApple TV+‘s new sci-fi drama based on the award-winning novel by William Gibson.

Created for television by Graham Roland and JD Dillard, Neuromancer follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

A co-production between Skydance Television, Anonymous Content and Apple Studios, Neuromancer will also be produced by Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment, with Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard set to direct the pilot episode.

Neuromancer marks the latest Middleton’s latest collaboration with Apple TV+ following her starring role in the Apple Original Films’ Sharper and her casting as the lead of the Sam Esmail’s high-profile Metropolis series, which ultimately did not move forward. (Turner also has been an Apple TV+ regular, coming off the streamer’s WWII limited series Masters Of the Air.)

The debut novel by William Gibson, Neuromancer has been a standout in the cyberpunk genre honored with the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award. It was the first book in the Sprawl trilogy and was followed by Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive.

Middleton, whose credits also include the George Clooney movie The Tender Bar and being cast as the female lead in Disney+’s proposed Beauty and the Beast prequel series, is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
