VP, Human Resources

Skydance Media, a global entertainment media company is seeking a strategic Vice President Human Resources to support our growing teams.
 
Reporting to the EVP, Human Resources, the VP HR will provide full scaled HR support including executive coaching, employee relations, compensation, structure and leveling, succession planning, employee engagement and culture development, organizational design, employee communications, and people development.
 
Must be an influential leader with the ability to persuade and advise leadership and transform business.
 
As a key part of the studio executive team, the HRBP will serve as a busines strategy partner to leadership to align division goals and initiatives with overall company mission.
 
Culture is a big part of the Skydance organization. This role will be member of the team and act as a thought leaders and adviser on people and culture.  You must be as passionate about culture as you are about gaming and entertainment. You will partner with the Culture team to execute positive employee engagement programs.
 
Take the lead in driving Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Wellness initiatives with wellness professionals and community partners.
 
Provide leadership and drive change management in the development and execution of human resource strategies that align with and support the overall strategic direction of the organization.
Work with division leaders to create and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and belonging and a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, thoughtful, collaborative Business Partner with the ability to inspire and build trust. You must have a comfort with ambiguity and be able to make well-informed decisions.
 
Must be a savvy leader with high EQ, passion, and strong critical thinking skills with a strong history of delivering high-quality results.
 
Forward thinking, strategic leader with strong executive presence that will partner with the senior leadership to implement best practices in People and Culture.
 
Trusted advisor and thought leader that will foster a workplace culture aligned with being a best place to work.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Must have a strong executive presence with exceptional influencing and business skills. Strong communication skills able to build relationship and trust with the ability to work in the moment
  • Broad experience and specific knowledge of organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement, learning, and performance management
  • Strong business acumen and significant Human Resources knowledge and experience with proven ability to influence and advise to drive business success.
  • Forward thinking leader with the ability to think strategically and critically that can develop consultative relationships with top executive leaders
  • Broad business and financial analytical understanding and the ability to apply to human capital implications. Proven experience supporting senior executives, to achieve business result
  • Knowledge of employment and labor law, best HR practices and policies
  • Strong ethics and integrity, including the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and handle sensitive information and materials
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Requirements

  • 10+ years HR Business Partner, Generalist experience with progressive responsibilities
  • 5+ years of proven experience working at the executive level
  • BA/BS degree Business, Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline or equivalent
  • Master’s Degree or MBA in related field preferred
  • Experience in entertainment, media, tech or start-up environment, preferred
