As the CFX Lead, you will help manage a team of character simulation artists in creating character hairstyles, cloth and skin simulation rigs and shot execution to provide balanced solutions to both technical and aesthetic related issues.
Mentor the team, providing guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.
Follow the the Supervisor’s guidance and effectively work together and communicate with other departments efficiently.
Balance issues of quality, time and resources to deliver high quality, efficient solutions.
Assign the work to each artist, according to his or her skills and preferences, and document character workflow.
Set clear expectations for quality of work and consistently deliver on schedule.
Provide feedback to CFX artists on shots and request fixes.
5+ years of professional experience and at least 1 managing a team.
Great understanding of the processes of character simulation, anatomy, physics, geometry workflows.
In-depth knowledge of cloth simulation tools (Ncloth, Syflex, Qualoth, Marvelous Designer).
Expert in hair tools, such as Yeti, Shave and Haircut, Maya Hair and/or Houdini.
Expert in Maya API, Python or C/C++ programming a plus.
Proficient in English.
