We are open to a spectrum of remote working and office scenarios for staff. This will include regular team get-togethers and travel throughout the year, so we benefit from the best of both worlds – flexibility and efficiency as well as team cohesion.
What You’ll Do:
We are searching for a Technical Artist to join our core team developing a high quality AAA single-player story-driven action-adventure game built using the Unreal Engine. Our art team is small, and we want to expand it with someone capable of seeking out and solving tech art and content pipeline problems, working inside and outside the engine. You will use your artistic and technical expertise to both create tools for yourself and others as well as take ownership of setting up assets in engine to create an unforgettable cinematic experience. We only hire talented, collaborative people with strong communication skills who are laser focused on achieving excellent results.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Design, build, and support content creation, animation, and pipeline tools inside and outside the engine.
  • Create assets requiring technical expertise and systems in engine (blueprints, materials networks, control rig, destructibles, etc)
  • Rig props and set up cloth and physics to populate a cinematic game world.
  • Collaborate with artists, technical artists, engineers, and designers both internal and external to ensure efficient workflows and pipelines.
  • Help maintain and enforce asset integrity, conventions, and performance budgets.
  • Create and maintain relevant usage documentation.
  • We Are Looking For People Who:

  • Have strong Python scripting experience creating artist and pipeline tools in Maya and/or Unreal using a Qt framework.
  • Have proficiency in modeling, rigging, and animation with an understanding of the full CG pipeline.
  • Thrive in a self-driven environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion and willingness to wear multiple hats in a small company environment.
  • Have experience working with assets and systems in a game engine.
  • (Preferred) Have experience setting up physics, rigid bodies and cloth.
  • (Preferred) Have Unreal experience.
  • (Bonus) Have experience working with Houdini.
  • (Bonus) Have experience working with motion capture data and Motion Builder.
  • (Bonus) Have C++ experience with Maya or Unreal.
