Skydance Animation is seeking a Production Assistant to provide general support to the leadership, artists, and coordinators of Skydance’s first animated series. This position requires the ability to prioritize and organize the workflow of day-to-day needs including being responsible for a variety of tasks within the office, production, and administrative spaces. The preferred candidate is proactive, has strong follow-through, with a passion for growing within animation production management.


  • Provide day-to-day support to the Coordinators, Production Manager, and Producers
  • Assist in the preparation of production materials including properly filing, labeling, arranging correspondences, invoices, recorded media, and folders
  • Organize the production office including ordering and maintaining supplies
  • Assist in the creation of various documents, files, orders and research materials
  • Schedule meetings and maintain multiple calendars
  • Take notes and distribute production materials in a timely manner
  • Collate and organize Visual Development, design breakdowns, and other references for shipment and distribution to the vendor
  • Prepare internal and vendor shipping documentation
  • Follow through on emails and any materials sent to internal teams and the vendor
  • Organize storyboards and designs within the internal digital management system
  • Provide the Story and Visual Development teams support for pitches and other internal presentations
  • Arrange for pick-up and/or delivery of materials as needed
  • Provide Script Coordinator support if needed for recordings
  • Provide Artist support wherever needed
  • Copy and scan any artwork as necessary
  • Assist on special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • 6 months of production related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BA or BS degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and file share systems
  • Knowledge of Shotgun, Storyboard Pro, Photoshop – Illustrator is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
