Skydance Animation is hiring a Coordinator who will be an integral team member in the planning, supporting and execution of events and activities that further culture and engagement throughout the studio. This individual will provide thoughtful and appropriate input based upon the department objectives and be a strong partner with the ability to communicate and problem solve.
Brainstorm and implement event plans and concepts for increased employee engagement and recognition
Craft and manage a calendar of events
Lead in the planning and execution of studio cultural events such as Studio Screenings/Wrap Celebrations, Art Galleries, Coffee Breaks, Summer Sweets, Health & Wellness Initiatives, Birthday/Anniversary Celebrations, Holidays, Team Building, etc.
Assist in the preparation of budgets for each event, and ensure that each event stays within that budget
Plan communications for the studio to provide an efficient channel for employees to receive information, participate in our culture and promote a sense of community and connection across the organization, including managing the studio’s online employee portal
Be a resource for and support internal teams with events and trainings
Develop and execute internal forum for employee feedback and internal event request process
Act as the liaison for company-wide events and initiatives
Prioritize multiple projects while maintaining priorities, focus, and attention to detail
Build relationships with external vendors, as well as negotiate pricing, be the point of contact when on-site and handling invoices
Research, identify and catalogue venues appropriate for studio events
Stay current with emerging event industry trends and technology
Other duties as assigned
2+ years’ experience in an event planning role, studio experience a plus
Strong ability to effectively organize and manage multiple events simultaneously and take a creative, inquisitive approach to problem solving
Experience coordinating large-scale events as well as smaller, more intimate events
Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
Resourceful, flexible and able to work under strict deadlines
Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with team, management, external contacts, talent
Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
Customer service oriented
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload in a dynamic and changing environment
