Skydance Animation is looking for an Editorial Coordinator on our second feature film! This position reports to the Production Supervisor and supports the Editorial team. Candidates should have a passion for Animation and the ability to prioritize and manage the workflow of the department and overall show needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Production Manager and Production Supervisor to manage Editorial team; maintaining deliverables, deadlines and inventory, ensuring departmental productivity goals are met
  • Work alongside Production Supervisor to manage inventory and task tracking for department to meet overall production needs
  • Attend all Editorial meetings and creative reviews with leadership, take notes in Shotgun, coordinate schedules, prepare agenda
  • Responsible for accurate input and updating of Editorial data in Shotgun
  • Help create breakdowns from scripts and animatics
  • Coordinate and oversee scratch records and script lining, track dialogue and line numbers, catalogue script notes and changes
  • Work closely with the Script Coordinator on new pages and changes, manage Editorial change notes
  • Maintain and update scratch binders and files
  • Handle room preparation for screenings and meetings
  • Work with Story Coordinator to process panels from Flix
  • Work with other production departments to ensure smooth workflow between Editorial and the rest of the production pipeline
  • Requirements

  • Prior experience as an Editorial Coordinator on an Animated feature
  • Understanding of production pipeline and role of department throughout the production pipeline
  • Knowledge of Shotgun required
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office & Google Suites
  • Knowledge of Flix and Avid preferred
  • Detail-oriented, strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to anticipate issues and proactively identify to solve and address
  • Ability to confidently and professionally interact with others while under pressure, maintain consistent communication between team and studio
  • Able to thrive in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment where priorities and demands shift
