Peter Farrelly’s Amazon MGM Action Comedy ‘Balls Up’ Adds Chelsey Crisp To Cast
Chelsey Crisp (Fresh Off the Boat) has come aboard for a supporting role in Balls Up, Amazon MGM Studios‘ action comedy from director Peter Farrelly.
Details as to Crisp’s role are under wraps. As previously announced, Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser lead an ensemble that also includes Molly Shannon, Eva De Dominici, Benjamin Bratt, Daniela Melchior and Eric André.
The film, which hails from Skydance, follows two American marketing executives who are fired for blowing a client sponsorship opportunity and decide to use their free tickets to a major soccer match. Their drunken debauchery leads them to be hunted by every person across the country.
Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese (Deadpool & Wolverine) wrote the script. Producers include Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, Andrew Muscato, Wernick and Reese. Marc Fisher is executive producing.
The project marks the fourth collaboration for Amazon MGM and Skydance, on the heels of the critically acclaimed sports marketing drama Air, The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt, and Without Remorse starring Michael B. Jordan. Pic also reunites Farrelly with Amazon MGM on the heels of the acclaimed comedy Ricky Stanicky, starring Zac Efron, John Cena, Jermaine Fowler and Andrew Santino, which debuted on Prime Video in March.
Starring for six seasons on ABC’s comedy Fresh Off the Boat, Crisp most recently wrapped on the heist thriller Eenie Meanie for 20th Century Studios. She can also be seen in Ten Percent for Amazon MGM Studios, as well as on Young Rock on NBC, and is represented by Paradigm, Vault Entertainment, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
