Skydance Media Installs Pair Of Execs In Top Business Affairs, Legal And HR Posts, Expands Roles Of CFO Larry Wasserman And General Counsel Stephanie Kyoko McKinnon
Skydance Media has added two key senior execs in human resources and business and legal affairs and also expanded the roles of two others in the management ranks.
Jean Chi, who has held exec posts at Spotify, Paramount and A24, has been named President of Global Business & Legal Affairs. Jodi DiCenzo, whose 20 years in the entertainment and creative sectors have included stops at Universal Studio Group and NBC Entertainment Group, is also joining as EVP of Human Resources.
As the new hires come aboard, Skydance CFO Larry Wasserman and General Counsel Stephanie Kyoko McKinnon have both added Co-President of Business Operations to their titles.
Chi will oversee all business and legal affairs related to Skydance’s global content divisions including feature film, television, and animation, reporting to President & COO Jesse Sisgold.
DiCenzo will be responsible for setting Skydance’s HR strategy and culture development, including leading the efforts for employee relations and engagement, organizational structure, and company benefits. She will report to= Wasserman and Kyoko McKinnon.
With the new component of their job titles, Wasserman and Kyoko McKinnon will oversee HR, information technology and facilities for the Company, continuing to report to Sisgold on these matters.
At Spotify, Chi was Global Head of Content Business Affairs, leading business affairs and strategic functions for the studio’s U.S. and international content business. She previously was EVP & Head of Business Affairs for Paramount Pictures and Head of Content Planning & Business Affairs at A24.
Wasserman was named CFO in 2014. He joined the company after holding the same title at DreamWorks Studios, where he oversaw all financial activities and several operating divisions of the film and television company founded by Steven Spielberg. He played an integral role in re-launching the company as an independent studio in 2008 after the original vision of Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen entered a new phase.
Kyoko McKinnon joined Skydance Media as General Counsel in 2020. She previously was SVP, Deputy General Counsel for Vice Media, where she oversaw legal for all of Vice’s strategic projects, including international expansion, joint ventures, market entry, investments, equity raises and acquisitions. She began her law career at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York.
