Skydance Media Appoints Shannon Olivas as Head of Corporate Communications
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – September 16, 2015 – Skydance, a diversified media company that creates elevated, event-level entertainment for global audiences, today announced that Shannon Olivas has been named Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. In the newly created position, Olivas is responsible for devising and implementing the communications strategies and overseeing domestic and international public relations efforts on behalf of Skydance Media and its properties.
“Shannon has an excellent reputation as a talented and well-respected communications executive within the entertainment industry and I am proud to welcome her to our leadership team,” said David Ellison, Skydance Media Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining Skydance Media, Olivas served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for The Honest Company, prior to which she spent seven years in corporate communications and investor relations at DreamWorks Animation. She previously worked at leading strategic corporate and financial communications firm, Sard Verbinnen & Co, where DreamWorks Animation was her client. Olivas holds a B.A. degree with honors from Syracuse University.
